Magnetic solution for tea towels
It is often that you may need to hang things in places where you cannot or do not want to drill holes. In particular in the kitchen. Fortunately, you can hang up most things with magnets, and here we show a solution for towels and tea towels.
Hang tea towels and towels with magnets
You will need:
- 1 hook magnet
- 1 metal plate with self-adhesive< /li>
In the picture we have used a white metal disk with self-adhesive in 16x2 mm. and a white magnetic hook in Ø16 mm:

The towel weighs approximately 250 g., and the hook magnet can easily carry it. We have chosen a white hook magnet and a white metal disc, as the white color blends in naturally. We recommend that you choose a metal plate and hook magnet with approx. same diameter. If you want to hang a tea towel, you can easily choose a magnet with a lower load capacity and a counterpart of the same size. Here you can e.g. choose to use a hook magnet in Ø13 mm. and a metal plate in 13x2 mm.
How to do it:
Wash the surface or wall on which you have to put the metal plate and dry it well so that it is not wet. Remove the foil from the metal disc and glue it where you want to hang your towel. The metal plate works best on an even surface, as the glue otherwise has difficulty sticking if you e.g. has structure in your wallpaper. To some extent, the glue will also have to hold the hook magnet and whatever you choose to hang on it.
Let the glue dry for 24 hours, preferably longer if you have the opportunity. You can then attach the hook magnet to the metal disc and hang your towel or tea towel on the hook.
