Ring magnets - Ferrite

Ferrite ring magnets are ring-shaped magnets that can be used outdoors and at high temperatures. The raw magnets have no coating, but they are still very durable and do not break easily. They can still be used even if they break or a small piece is knocked off.

What are ferrite ring magnets used for?

Ferrite magnets serve a many purposes. THey can withstand high temperatures and do not rush used outdoors. Our doughnut shaped ferrite magnets give customers the flexibility of either placing the magnet on a metal surface or attach to a rope and let it freely hang to offer a free fall hanging anchor point.

The easiest way to describe what a ferrite magnets would be to explain that they are the black magnets on the back of souvenir magnets. They are not as strong, but work great for their intended purpose. But if you pick a bigger magnet, the strenght capacity will be higher.

Here are some common ways that we have seen, and know, that ferrite ring magnets have been used for:

  • Using a magnet for collecting scrap/loose metal within truck tank
  • Using magnets as closing mechanism for purses, clothing, or containers
  • Using ferrite magnets around water pipes to collect and remove loose metal

All in all, they are excellent for a variety of tasks because they can withstand water and heat. But keep in mind that long exposoure to water will greatly decrease the life expectancy of the magnet, so it is a good idea to check on it often (very important to know if they are securing delicate items).
