Ring magnets - Neodymium

Ring magnets of neodymium are very strong - these magnets can carry their own weight many times. The ring magnet is used for many different things such as geocaching. collecting magnetic chips on workshop floors, and working on motors. We do also have ring magnets made of ferrite.

Find all our ring magnets right here.

Magnets with a hole

The fact that a disc magnet has a hole doesn't automatically make it suitable for attaching with screws - we have many other types of magnets that are much more suitable for that, such as our selection of countersunk magnet. But the hole means that you can easily put a string through it if you need to hang something up or fish out lost things in places that may be difficult to reach - such as if you have dropped your keys in a grate, or something is stuck in a stupid place in the engine that can be attracted to the ring magnet and pulled up. You can also attach it to a rod or the like.

Magnetism on surfaces and sides

The strongest magnetic field is on the surfaces of our ring magnets (unless otherwise clearly stated on the product). This does not mean that the magnets are not magnetic on the sides - quite the opposite. The magnets are attracted to all other magnetic materials (steel, etc.) on all surfaces. But in relation to other magnets, you are bound by the north and south poles, which must be combined in order not to be repelled. So this means that you not only have to turn 2 ring magnets correctly with north facing south, when these are the faces of the magnet, but that the same applies to the sides, where the magnetic field is "cut" into a north and a south part.

We are ready to help

It can be difficult to make magnetism understandable in a way that suits everyone's need for knowledge. So if there is something that does not make sense in this text, or if you still need an answer to something regarding the ring magnets, please do not hesitate to contact us in customer service. We are an entire team with many years of experience. And we also have close cooperation with engineers who can help if we ourselves fall short in a magnetic situation.
