Simon's container home
Simon is 23 years old and studying to be an architect. He lives in a student residence in the popular area called cph village, which is out on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen. He has hung his things up with magnets, as they are not allowed to drill into the walls. It has of course been a bit of a challenge, because how do you hang e.g. lights up when you are not allowed to put a screw in the wall? Simon, like others from cph village, has been creative and has made several smart magnet solutions that you might also be able to use.

Hang lamps with magnets
In his container home, Simon has used hook magnets to hang his lamps. Simon called in the summer of 2018 and had a large and relatively heavy lamp that he wanted to hang up. Here he used a hook magnet Ø20 mm., with a carrying capacity of approx. 13 kg. in a straight line. The lamp does not weigh more than a few kg., but to be sure that the lamp could move without falling down, it was important to add extra kilos. The lamp fits perfectly under the canopy.
For its smaller lamps, which weigh less than 1 kg. has Simon also used a Ø20 mm hook magnet.
Hang the TV with magnets
In his container home, Simon has chosen to hang his TV with magnets with internal thread (Ø32 mm .). A total of 4 had to be used here, so he was sure that the heavy TV did not fall down.
It is always important to be aware that electronic equipment can be affected by magnets when it gets too close.
Magnets hold wires
Simon has chosen to fasten his wires in hook magnets. It's a pretty smart way to avoid cables hanging and messing around.
