Not a magnet!

Metal is magnetic and can be used as a counterpart to magnets. It is not a magnet in itself.

The metal pieces are not suitable for outdoor use as they rust over time.

Installation:
When you need to attach the metal plate, is it best to use 2 pcs. countersunk screws w/conical head - sizes in the span 4.7 mm. to 5.7 mm. can be used. 

If the metal plate is to be mounted in thin wooden walls (e.g. a wardrobe), the screws can be bought in most hardware stores. You often find them in screw assortment boxes. 

Alternatively, you can use a longer screw with a head size of approx. 5 mm., and shorten it in length with a miter saw etc.
