Magnetic zipper ZGD-02-08 (in metres)

Strong magnetic zipper with the magnets stacked on top of each other when closing the zipper. Provides a strong magnetic closure because this model is made with two magnets per space.

There is about 5.5 cm. space between each pair of magnets. The more magnets there are with a small space, the stronger the solution, so the ZGD-02-08 zipper is not the strongest zipper in our range but still super strong because of the double magnet welding. That is also why this variant costs more than a similar model with single magnets.

The product name consists of numbers as symbol. 02 is symbolizing 2 pcs. magnets after each space, and 08 is the space of 8 cm. from the center of each magnet set to the next magnet set. The space of fabric without magnets is approx. 5.5 cm. on this model.

You can make zippers in many ways with magnets. These magnets are placed on top of each other (not a side closure as a normal zipper).

When you buy 1 meter, you actually get 2 metres, as the magnetic zipper consists of two sides. So for 1 shirt you only need 1 meter. And for a full-length dress of 1.6 meters, you only need to buy 2 metres.

The magnets are inserted into small pockets that are individually heat-welded in the edge band for best durability when the zipper is to be used again and again. The edge band also protects the magnets from impacts so that they do not break. And finally, it is so much easier and faster to be able to sew a finished magnetic zipper into fabric than having to start by sewing small pockets for small, strong magnets and at the same time be aware that the poles are facing correctly - this is handled with these zippers.

Loss of strength:
When there is a gap between two magnets, there is a loss of strength. So make sure to sew the edge band into the fabric so that the magnets hit directly on top of each other with no other distance than the edge band, to get the strongest solution.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified with 92% silk and 8% lycra spandex. Hand wash only. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.
