This is a very strong, flat block magnet made of neodymium with N45 magnetism. The magnets can adhere to all magnetic surfaces (are magnetic all the way around with S-pole on one surface and N-pole on the other surface). However, you should be aware that 2.7 kg. in direct pull is a pretty strong magnet to move around, and because it's so flat, it's easier to push it to the side to get it off of a surface or separate it from other magnets.
