Rubber magnet w. threaded stud, Ø43 mm.
Details
Description
Description
A strong rubber coated magnet with M4 external steel thread.
This type of magnet is constructed of N38 neodymium magnets and often used as a magnetic bolt.
Diameter: 4.3 cm.
Height magnet: 0.6 cm.
Total height: 1.2 cm.
Thread: M4
Strength: approx. 10 kg.
The structure of this variety of magnet is constructed using numerous smaller magnets under the protective rubber coating. The purpose of this buildup is to construct a strong magnet. This is done because a large ring magnet of the same size will be too fragile. In return, you get a magnet that you are not limited by its north and south polarity. Therefore, you have the flexibility of using two (2) magnets of the same type that can be placed against each other, if they are rotated to align the correct poles. Other varieties of magnets incorporate opposite poles, and therefore you have to only turn one magnet if two (2) magnets repel one another.
With this type of magnet, you can screw the magnet together with magnet types featuring M4 internal threads, or you can use an M4 locknut to secure.
This magnet can be used on glass boards. However, it is super strong so be cautious even if the magnet has a rubber protective coating.
